Clutch pedal goes to the floor?

My truck starter making a noise yesterday ( sound like a loose belt), today I went to start the truck, push the clutch the noise came back, went away, came back , finally went away but the pedal goes down to the floor with little resistance and comes back about half way. The clutch reservoir is dry and I don't see clutch fluid on the floor or inside the truck's cabin. Any ideas?????
