Would a button down and khakis be too dressed up for public school?

I'm in middle school where people aren't generally welcoming of preppy people, and I want to wear a fairly preppy outfit on Tuesday that people might think is too dressed up. It consists of a white button down (tucked in), khakis with a brown belt, and brown desert boots to match the belt. Thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks :)
