Age of Clawfoot tub ?

My husband and I recently got an antique clawfoot tub from a friend of ours who guts and remodels old homes in our area. It is currently in poor condition but can be restored we were told. We picked it up today and as I was examining it, I noticed a series of numbers on the bottom 3-2-38E and was wondering if that was the date the tub was made? it doesn't have a name of a company on it. I would really like to know the exact age of the tub just out of curiousity and if anyone can help, I would be grateful.
